As the president of Eta Kappa, I oversee each member of the executive council. I am also the chapter's delegate at Gamma Phi Beta's Biannual Convention where new international business is voted upon by each collegiate and alumnae chapter. Above all, I work with the safety and wellness chairwoman to ensure each member of the chapter is happy, healthy,  and having the best experience as possible during their time as a collegiate member of Gamma Phi Beta.

As Administrative Vice President, I am responsible for updating the annual calendar and overseeing  officer reports. Through these reports we maintain our structure and progress, while also staying connected with our International and Regional advisers. I also implement and oversee the elections process as well as the transitioning of the elected and appointed officers each fall. 


Financial Vice President: Libby Worely

As the Financial Vice President, it is my responsibility to manage all of the chapter's finances. I oversee all profits and expenditures made by Eta Kappa.  I create and manage our annual chapter budget, keep financial records, pay chapter bills, pay international dues, and help my sisters become financially responsible women.  It is also my responsibility to ensure that every member is in good financial standing with the chapter and International Headquarters. I also work with the house manager and Facilities Management Company to maintain the chapter house and property. Along with the house manager, I am actively involved with the Fort Wood Historic District and participate in the Neighborhood  Association meetings! 

Education Vice President: Jessie Conklin

Year: Senior

Major: Social Work 

Post Grad Plans: Pursuing a masters' degree in Social Work and ultimately going into counseling for adolescents

As  the Education Vice President, I am responsible for overseeing all educational programs in the Eta Kappa Chapter. I partner with the officers in my department to execute PACE (personal and chapter enrichment) meetings and fidelity meetings once a month. I work closely with the New Member educator to plan bid day, big/little reveal, and oversee the eight week new membership period in which new members learn all about Gamma Phi Beta history and policy. I also oversee the scholarship chairwoman and aid in constantly improving our  chapter scholarship plan to help members be the best students they can be! I am solely responsible for planning  sisterhood goal setting retreats at the beginning of each semester. Most importantly, I am responsible for partnering with our ritual chairwoman to carry out all ritual services like initiation and new member pinning.

As Membership Vice President to Eta Kappa, I am responsible for coordinating and executing a member recruitment plan that will attract and influence collegiate women that exhibit our four core values of love, labor,  learning, and loyalty to become a sister of Gamma Phi Beta. I plan every detail of formal recruitment with the help of my department. However, by no means does my job begin and end at recruitment! After recruitment ends I ensure that the chapter retains members until their graduation.

As Panhellenic Affairs Vice President, I strive to maintain positive relations with the UTC Panhellenic community. I attend bi-weekly Panhellenic meetings as the delegate for Eta Kappa in order to the be a voice for the chapter in Panhellenic decisions. With the help of the Activities Chairwoman, I am also responsible for overseeing homecoming and getting each sister  involved in other organizations and activities on campus. I utilize my skill set as a former orientation leader, to assist the Spirit Chairwoman in ensuring the sisters of Eta Kappa have as much school spirit and the highest campus wide event attendance as possible. Go Mocs!   




Public Relations Vice President: Emily Whitlock

As the Public Relations Vice President, my chief responsibility is to partner with the Social Media Chairwoman and PR team to create a positive public relations plan to ensure that Eta Kappa is being represented in a way that reflects our core values. I work with our Philanthropy Chairwoman to plan our campus wide Crescent Classic event benefiting Girls on the Run and also to make sure we our chapter is actively participating in other Greek organization philanthropy events. I oversee the chapter's Social Chairwoman in the planning  date parties, mixers,  semi-formals, and formal events. I also supervise the Standards Chairwoman in the creation of new bylaws and the implementation of standards hearings. My department is also responsible for corresponding with Alumnae and parents. Lastly,through the Apparel  Chairwoman and her committee, my department designs and sells all chapter merchandise.
