What to Expect?
Your daughter will positively impact others and the community as she learns and lives our Core Values: Love, Labor, Learning and Loyalty. We expect our members to uphold the highest type of womanhood at all times in order to demonstrate to the outside world what it means to be a Gamma Phi Beta sister.
By focusing on individual worth, our members experience personal development in the areas of self-empowerment, self-esteem, honesty and integrity.
Gamma Phi Beta Sorority was founded in part to develop a higher social culture. Our service to humanity is generated by our members and their contributions to philanthropic endeavors, the University, and our local communities.
Our Sorority is committed to lifelong learning and we encourage our members to take advantage of every opportunity, whether it be in the classroom or in an off-campus activity. We promote intellectual growth and uphold high academic standards through our minimum GPA requirements and scholarship program. Numerous scholarships are available to encourage our members to achieve their academic potential.
Gamma Phi Beta membership extends well beyond the scope of collegiate years. Staying involved as an alumna is an expectation of membership. The potential to connect and network with other outstanding members continues long after graduation.
Each collegiate chapter of the Sorority shall have an advisor that is responsible for the supervision of the college chapter and its well-being. The advisor provide the support to each collegiate office-holder. Chapter advisors are trained by Sorority leaders, as it is Gamma Phi Beta’s priority to ensure that the advisory board is current in all Sorority policies and procedures.
Please contact our chapter advisor, Katrina Gramelspacher, at email@example.com with any questions.
According to hazingprevention.org, hazing is defined as:
any action or situation with or without consent which recklessly, intentionally or unintentionally endangers the mental or physical health or safety of a student, or creates risk of injury, or causes discomfort, embarrassment, harassment or ridicule or which willfully destroys or removes public or private property for the purpose of initiation or admission into or affiliation with, or as a condition for continued membership in a chapter or colony.
Gamma Phi Beta Sorority is committed to the prevention of hazing and views any form of hazing as a violation of our mission and purpose. Our Sorority has taken an active role in numerous initiatives to educate our members and provide tools to encourage a healthy, safe and productive sorority experience. We also actively encourage the creation of anti-hazing legislation by sending sisters to lobby every year for that initiative on Capitol Hill.
