Gamma Phi Beta hosts two primary Social Events per year. They are nights to bring dates, dance, and most importantly bond with sisters! On top of these events, we also co-host mixers with other organizations on campus as well as hosting sisterhood events.
Date Party is our first themed event of the year. It occurs every October around Halloween. It is always a costume party with varying themes. In the past we have had themes like Heroes v. Villains and Mathletes and Athletes. It is always fun seeing who sisters and their dates will dress up as. All in all its a fun Halloween dance filled night!
We also host an annual Formal that is held every spring semester. It is by far the ritziest event of the year! Sisters and their dates dance the night away at an amazing venue, like the Hunter Art Museum that we rented this past spring. It is a wonderful way to end the year together as a chapter.
At the heart of Gamma Phi Beta is sisterhood. As an organization we seek to unite collegiate women in the bonds of sisterhood. Eta Kappa is no exception! To encourage our members to continue growing in the spirit of sisterhood we host chapter sisterhood events once a month and a sisterhood retreat every semester.
Mixers are events that are co-hosted with another organization (generally a fraternity or sorority). Each mixer has a different theme. In the past we have enjoyed trivia, bowling, twister paint, baseball, St. Patrick's Day, and Thanksgiving themed mixers. It is a blast getting to meet people in different organizations on campus!
